Warner Music Group (WMG), purchased a majority stake in Africa’s leading music distribution companies, Africori. Africori has the distribution rights, music rights, management and artist development rights of over 7,000 African artists.
Africori has offices in Johannesburg, London and Lagos. The company has established as a go to medium between African indie artists and the consumer. The deal with Warner Music Group (WMG), establishes Africori to be a leading partner with WMG’s subsidiary African label (WMG South Africa). Africori was founded in 2009 by veteran music executive Yoel Kenan. -SB
