Many wealthy and elitist individuals are taking their chances into space. The “space tourism” industry, as it has now been labeled, has been a booming fixture few years; but has really taken a more upfront presence in 2021. As we enter 2022; you can see more of the industry (space tourism); attracting more wealthy, famous, prominent and rich individuals.
Companies such Blue Origin (Jeff Bezos); SpaceX (Elon Musk); and Virgin Galactic (Richard Branson) have taken the lead in advancing the industry; and many would debate were the very first introducers and/founders of this new culture tourism phenom, that is now taking place.
People have indicated that industry will only expand and progress in the latter years, as more people are exposed to the dynamic opportunities to head into space. Celebs have purchased tickets to take a ride into the stratosphere and beyond. Celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Tom Hanks, Leonardo Dicaprio, James Cameron have all filed to be in line space voyage. William Shatner (Star Trek) was the first celebrity to actually go into space, physically. His journey into space was on October 13, 2021 (Wednesday). NFL & NY Giants Hall of Famer; and ABC Good Morning America tv host, Michael Strahan will also be on the Blue Origin flight into space.
Seems that the industry is booming currently because the rich, famous, wealthy have the access and finances to go. As space tourism program expands, so will the pockets of the industry expand as well. -SB
