Shake Shack has indicated there has been minimal growth in revenue because of the impact of Omicron. The burger and fries chain maker indicated that Omicron impacted employee shortages; people ordering food; and the fact that their restaurants had to close at earlier time schedules.
Estimates of revenue from the chain had analysts predicting it would hit $210.90 million, the restaurant’s findings tend to be different. Shake Shack has indicated their revenues will fall in line between $196 million – $201 million (data taken from Refinitiv). The burger chain has indicated that the omicron variant did more harm than predicted, which led to minimal sales by customers. -SB
