The central bank leader of Brazil, Roberto Campos Neto has indicated that inflation is still rising in the Brazilian economy. He also indicated that Brazil’s GDP will also grow in 2022. Brazil has been trying to tamp down inflation, since the beginning of the new year.

The central bank has indicated it would be tightening monetary policies and initiatives. Neto and the central bank have stated that rising rates need to be placed in subdued territory and controlled, without getting out of hand. Regardless, inflation is still climbing in the Brazilian economy. -SB
