Meta-Facebook’s (FB) COO Sheryl Sandberg is stepping down this Fall 22′, from her current position. Ms. Sandberg has been with Meta (FB) since 2008, as its chief operating officer. She has been the #2; under Mark Zuckerberg.
Sandberg will be leaving her post to focus on her foundation, “The Sheryl Sandberg & Dave Goldberg Family Foundation”. Meta’s (FB) CGO (chief growth officer) Javier Olivan; will fill Sandberg’s role when she leaves in the Fall of 2022. Sheryl will remain on Meta’s board of directors. Mr. Olivan has been Meta’s (FB) growth officer for many years and Mr. Zuckerberg has indicated that Olivan will take on a more traditional role than his predecessor (Ms. Sandberg).
Before running Meta’s day to day operations, Sheryl Sandberg worked for Google as an executive and she was former chief of staff of Mr. Larry Summers, when he was President Clinton’s U.S. Treasury Secretary. -SB
