President Biden and his administration are allocating $14 billion dollars to improve and upgrade the US waterways system and US ports. Biden indicated that this was needed, in adherence to what climate change is doing around the world. The funds will also help to improve drinking water and help the US supply chain; which has suffered tremendously because of inflation.
The $14 billion that is being allocated will be put to use for 52 states and over 500 projects, this is from data released from the administration. The expansion of ports and waterways is a part of President Biden’s infrastructure bill that has stalled in Congress. It seems that the Biden administration is taking a piece-by-piece approach in improving the nation’s infrastructural grid.
