1) Japan’s military anticipates spending record amounts in buying US arms over the next five years. This will amount to $240 billion dollars from 2019 to 2024 including an anti-ballistic missile system to guard against North Korea.
2) Japan has millions of abandoned houses. Many are shoddy pre-fabricated houses from the post war boom of the 1960’s, with a life span of 20 to 30 years. Additionally, Japan is facing a shrinking population.
3) The Altria Group, who makes the Marlboro brand of cigarettes, will make a start of the cannabis or pot business in Canada with an investment of $1.8 billion dollars.
4) 7 DEC 18 Stock market closings: Dow closes 550 down wiping out gains for the year, with fears this week will be just as bad.
