Boss moves all over the place, hip hop legend Snoop D.O. Double G has purchased the iconic Death Row label, brand and catalogue. The acquisition sees the “Dogg Father” himself acquiring the label brand. He purchased the label from MNRK Music Group (which is controlled by private equity powerhouse Blackstone).

Apparently, the deal was in negotiations for some time, several months actually; between Snoop and Blackstone’s senior managing director, David Kestnbaum. The deal is supposed to conclude in the upcoming weeks. Congrats to Snoop for this entrepreneurial achievement. -SB
