The gigantic marketplace fired over 1,000 employees. The reasoning for laying off so many of their full time employees, is because of declining revenue sales.
Many of the marketplace’s current employees have been asked to work from home, during the reorganizing process. They are also downsizing their use of outside contractors because of budget constraints.
Ebay has indicated they will be consolidating various departments, divisions and teams, to effectively enhance productivity at the company. – SB
